A guided tour with commentary of a goat farm located at the Sommier d'Aval Alpine pasture. The herd consists of 100 chamois-colored Alpine goats, 45 female kids, 6 billy goats, and two female donkeys.
The Cabrettes Farm offers two locations:
1) At Le Reposoir: the Sommier d'Aval Alpine Pasture (June 8–September 15):
- Free guided tour with commentary on Mondays and Thursdays starting at 3:00 p.m., goat milking at 5:15 p.m.
Reservations at the Intermunicipal Tourist Office: Le Reposoir (04 50 98 18 01), no later than the day before.
- Cheese sales at the chalet every day.
2) In Sallanches (November 1–May 20):
- Free guided and narrated tour on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Reservations strongly recommended
- Cheese sales (Chevrotins AOP—silver medalist at the 2015 CGA Paris, goat’s milk tommes, and sérac)
daily from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., except Sunday mornings.
