Immerse yourself in the agricultural heritage of the Mont Blanc region through an authentic farm experience. Visit local farms and learn how to become a small-scale farmer of the future through our fun and educational workshops.
Through interaction with the animals during the visit and via fun, educational workshops, visitors of all ages will have the chance to discover the different aspects of farm life in an interactive way. From Vallorcine to Combloux, via Les Houches and Passy, we are an association serving all the farmers in the valley!
Would you like to discover the farming world of the Mont Blanc region and its various livestock farms? Want to understand how sheep’s, goat’s and cow’s cheese is made? Make your own butter or apple juice? Or perhaps take part in milking and enjoy a delicious local meal with a raclette? With the “Mont Blanc Fermes Peda” association, discover each of the farmers, summer and winter alike, and enjoy some quality time with the animals.
On the programme is an immersive experience that allows you to combine learning about farm animals with discovering agricultural processing techniques: making cheese, butter or apple juice, depending on the specific features of each farm. By the end of the visit, you’ll have gained a better understanding of the world of agriculture, broadened your perspective on consumption patterns, the quality and cost of our food, developed a greater awareness of the realities and daily lives of producers, learnt about the conflicts of interest farmers face, discovered the processes involved in dairy and meat production, and even made your own food products.
