Our Environmental Charter
We are delighted to share our commitment to sustainable development and to building a better way of living together for the future.
Our efforts and actions are ongoing, regularly renewed, adapted and sustainable, all with the aim of reducing our carbon footprint. This involves implementing, learning and sharing best practices within our team as well as with our guests.
Water
In order to limit waste, we invite you to reduce your consumption of water, energy and cleaning products by not requesting daily changes of bed linen and towels. Rooms are refreshed daily; however, linen will be changed for stays longer than 5 nights or when necessary, as identified by our housekeeping team (stained or excessively damp linen). Excessive use of bed or bath linen will result in an additional charge.
Energy Management
“It’s not the Palace of Versailles here!”
Yes, this now well-known phrase also applies at Les Roches Fleuries. We kindly ask you to switch off lights, the television and any other appliances when you are not in your room.
Waste Reduction and Recycling
We strive to limit printing; therefore, your invoices will be sent by email. We sort batteries, light bulbs, cartridges, used oils, glass and plastic. We invite you to join us in this recycling effort and to leave recyclable waste in your room’s waste bin. All printed materials (maps, brochures, business cards, etc.) are produced using recycled paper.
Responsible Purchasing
We monitor and review our suppliers’ environmental commitments. We prioritise short supply chains and local producers and suppliers. Our objective is to develop our own vegetable garden in order to grow fruit and vegetables suited to the mountain climate. We use eco-labelled products whenever they meet our quality and hygiene standards. We also ensure that any furniture or wooden construction purchases come from sustainably managed forests.
Every day, we take action to protect resources and ensure the long-term sustainability of our planet.
