Sustainable tourism

Yoga and bioenergy are already conscious practices, but Alp Zen goes even further because:

Energy Yoga is a practice based on the rhythm of the seasons.

From spring and throughout the summer, I organize all my yoga sessions outdoors (forest, beaches of our lakes, mountains, fields sheltered from view), without degrading the site and by contacting beforehand the owner or the farmer when the fields are private (indoor sessions only in case of bad weather).

I explain to my students the importance of respecting natural places and the impact of practising outdoors in fields that are usually occupied by animals (cows, goats, horses).

I use yoga mats that are safe for health. Here is the description from the brand I use:
“Our mats are certified Öeko-Tex Standard 100 Level 1 (safe for contact with children under 36 months), ensuring safe use of our products. They contain no azo dyes with carcinogenic arylamine effects from the MAK group III A1 and III A2 and contain no allergenic dyes. Any possible release of heavy metals through the action of sweat has been tested. They contain no formaldehyde, or levels far below the declared legal limit. The pH range corresponds to that of our skin and they contain no organo-chlorinated colour accelerators.”

I organize yoga/well-being getaways aligned with the rhythm of the seasons in preserved natural places, working with local guesthouses and mountain huts, mountain guides and various local service providers, and offering organic local meals (purchased directly from producers).

I limit my groups to 8 people (for yoga sessions and retreats) in order to reduce ecological impact.

I encourage and organize car-sharing for my students when travelling to outdoor locations.

I travel as much as possible by electric mountain bike.

Registration for my yoga classes and retreats is done exclusively online.

I have stopped printing flyers (or I display only one and write “take a photo of me”).

I have created a downloadable app for 100% digital interactive communication.
